The history of yellow goes into depth I will first begin with yellow sybolizing sunshine it is also a warm color that, like red. On the one hand it denotes happiness and joy but on the other hand yellow is the color of cowardice and deceit. Since yellow is very vibrant it is usaully used for hazordous signs and emergency veicles.

Yellow, most of the time works best as a compliment to other colors. You can use yellow for bright excitement and for the use of contrast. Yellow, unlike red and orange may be too strong or too dark. In astronomy the planet Saturn is yellowish, which is a class G star just like our sun. In calandars Monday is associated with yellow on the Thai solar calendar. Anyone born on a monday may adopt yellow as their color.

In cultures such as the enlish language yellow is associated with jaundice or cowardice. A coward in the American slag is reffereded as "yellowbellied". In Italy yellow represents crime stories from fictional and real stories. In 1930 the first series of crime novels was published with the book cover being yellow. Ethnicaly Asian people are sometimes known as the yellow race. Reffering to people of East Asia as the yellow race is now days offensive. In African- American slang "high yellow" is reffered to someone who is a very light-skinned African- American. This term was herd often in the 20th century but is now rarely herd these days. The color yellow has two different types of symbolisms one being of excitement and perkiness and the other of cowardness and crime.
